ABOUT CATTERMOLE & ASSOCIATES, LLC

Paul Cattermole is a CPA, MBA and Certified Turnaround Specialist with over 35 years of experience in turnarounds, evaluations, and implementing best-in-class management systems.

Some accomplishments are:

  • Led  nationally recognized turnarounds and restructurings in US and Europe.
  • Implemented multiple financial and operational management systems in production, chemical, medical device, and distribution businesses.
  • Developed integrated strategic, business, and financial plans that resulted in increased profits and refinancings.
  • Conducted numerous alignment and organizational analyses, including evaluations
  • Conducted Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Implemented process improvement including ERP and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance

Throughout his impressive consulting career Paul has led financial, operational and structural reorganizations. He has also helped small and emerging companies obtain financing and establish effective management systems. Most recently, he successfully turned around a specialty chemical company as its CEO. Prior to this project he worked out of Boston, MA, and was directly involved with approximately 25 restructurings in the US and Europe. One of these, Bird Machine Company, was judged one of this country's top 25 turnarounds in 1992. He was named the project manager of USAID's revitalization of Bosnia's production program.

Prior to this reorganization work, Paul held financial and operational managerial positions for several multi-national companies, such as NL Industries (now part of Halliburton and Exxon), Akzo Chemical, and Baker Hughes. He holds a CPA, is a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), and trained as an ISO 9000 Assessor. With a strong background in both accounting and operations, he has helped Jacuzzi, Miles Kimble, United Agri Products and other companies establish management systems to deal with Sarbanes-Oxley and other compliance issues.

Fiona Cattermole holds a BA in Psychology (Summa cum Laude) and an MSW in Clinical Social Work, both from Boston College. She is a Certified Behavioral and Values Analyst, Organizational Development Consultant, author and coach.

Some accomplishments are:

  • In her first career, Fiona founded, operated, built, and sold a successful psychotherapy practice
  • In 2002 she co-founded Cattermole & Associates, LLC with her husband and business partner Paul Cattermole

With her training and experience in human behavior, Fiona enables her client companies to identify their human capital, specifically behavioral styles, values, and performance motivators. Armed with this information, organizations can make informed choices in how best to leverage the talent currently in place, rather than hire from without at great cost both in terms of money and time to train.

  • In M&A work Fiona can identify how the differing cultures will blend, and how to prepare for potential problems so that the merger goes well
  • In turnarounds and restructurings, Fiona works to improve employee morale, leverage existing human capital and ensure proper employee fit-to-position
  • In hiring and training situations, Fiona can identify best candidates for the job through Benchmarking and Position Fit
  • With Sales teams, Fiona has a process that can identify which sales personnel will be top producers.

 

Mark Goodman has 10+ years of real estate sales, development and re-development experience. This experience includes land entitlement expertise, industrial and office re-development, construction and costing experiences, and an in-depth knowledge of cutting edge marketing with regards to sales and leasing.

Mark is uniquely qualified in the disposition of excess and underutilized corporate properties through sales, auctions, leases, subleases, assignments, termination, buy-outs or sale/leasebacks.

He is a Senior Advisor at Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors, LLC, heading a team of “Top Producers” in 2005. Paul Schneider is also a member of this esteemed team. The yearly total volume for this team was in excess of $29,000,000, earning them recognition as one of the Top Ten brokers for sales and leasing in Industrial, Office and Retail in the Denver Metro Area.

 

Paul Schneider has quickly gained an excellent reputation though his tenacious negotiating skills and creativity in refinancing and disposition of distressed properties.  Paul was recognized as Denver Metropolitan Commercial Association of Realtors #2 Young Broker in Denver in just his second year. In 2008 Paul brokered 27 deals for institutional and individual clients.

 Paul is an Advisor with Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors, LLC and, working with Mark Goodman, deals with industrial, office, retail, and land transactions.  Prior to Pinnacle, he held various positions in the financial sector including an advisory firm to Wall Street institutional investors. Paul also has experience in the credit markets as he worked with a top nationwide lender specializing in residential and mixed-use properties.  Paul received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from the University of Colorado.

Mark Goodman and Paul Schneider Joint Accomplishments are:

  • One week after a sub-prime lender signed a new 5 year lease, the markets dislocated and Mark and Paul renegotiated the lease, saving the client over $1,000,000.
  • After a Swedish explosives company consolidated their US operations, Mark and Paul successfully identified a Canadian company with similar facility needs which extricated the Swedish client from the unwanted location.
  • In 2009, they renegotiated a lease for Coleman Natural Foods that resulted in savings of $2,900,000 (over 5 years).
  • In less than 30 days, they arranged for the disposition of a distressed 79-unit apartment complex in Colorado to a private equity firm.
